Grandmother Verónica and her husband Pastor, without money, live in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Güepsa, Santander. Her tragedies are minimal, but traversed by the history of violence in Colombia, while around her, her neighbors struggle to stay alive in the daily routine of the countryside.

The candidates Sandro Archila and Camilo Hernández, face each other to define who will be the next delegate in charge of the election, classification and programming of dance numbers of the local faire. Without knowing where to go, he convinces an amateur photographer in the bowels of the Chicamocha canyon to go with him searching for his brother lost in the war, but the photographer is also looking for someone – the man who killed his father.
