Biography
Rob Das (born 12 May 1969, in Delft, Netherlands) is a Dutch film and television actor, director and writer. His movie appearances include in The Damned (2002), Baby Blue (2001), and De Zwarte Meteoor (2000). His TV appearances include in the miniseries Anne Frank: The Whole Story (2001), Fort Alpha (1996) and Vuurzee (2006). Besides, Das has also worked as the assistant director in the TV movies Gezocht: Man (2005) and Deining (2004), and served as both the writer and director for the short movie Veilig Rijen (1997). One of the mostly known appearance of Das was as Jan Gies in the ABC miniseries Anne Frank: The Whole Story. The miniseries, which earned much fame, has been called "the best Anne Frank movie or miniseries" and it has been nominated for several Golden Globe awards, and it won an Emmy Award. Das starred alongside Ben Kingsley, Brenda Blethyn and Lili Taylor. Recently, Rob Das has been reprising the role of Jan Gies in ANNE, a Dutch-language play based on Anne Frank's diary. Rânia
Rânia is a teenage girl who lives on Santa Teresinha hill in the city of Fortaleza. Her busy days are also occupied by the dream of being a dancer. Rânia's best friend, Zizi, introduces her to 'Sereia da Noite', a local joint where fun, dance, money and sex rock the night. When Rânia meets the choreographer Estela, she will be torn between the possibility to make money in the nightclub and the will to become a "real dancer".

The story begins at the airport in Bandung, an abstract, attractive city somewhere in Southeast Asia, where Czech tour guide Tomáš Egermaier witnesses the arrest of 21-year-old Patrik Lovický. It is only back in the Czech Republic that he learns that the man arrested had attempted to smuggle four kilograms of heroin out of Bandung. Egermaier's surprise is all the greater when he discovers a plastic bag with five videotapes for a camera on the conveyor belt at Ruzyně Airport. Together with Egermaier, we then watch the story of Patrik Lovický, his girlfriend Elena, and her mother Michaela on the videotapes.
