Rajab and his friend Ghorban accidentally enter the 20st century from ancient times and after a few events, decide to return to their time and period.
A simple village boy, a wrestler with extraordinary strength, catches the eye of a famous coach from Tehran who happens to be at a village festival where local wrestlers are competing. The coach invites the boy to the capital to take up wrestling professionally, and soon the talented wrestler becomes a celebrity and the darling of all Iran, which arouses the envy of his teammates. A chance encounter with the mother of his future opponent for the national championship title turns his whole life upside down. A separate storyline follows the love affair between Habib, the main character, and Sitar, the daughter of a local wealthy man.

In the village where Samad lives, the "Fighting Illiteracy" organization organizes a literacy class for the elderly to teach them literacy skills. In order to trap a group of smugglers, the head of the police force arranges a "politics" and sends one of the smugglers he has arrested to the class. The smuggler's friends, who have learned of the presence of their accomplice in the class, try to escape him, unaware of the trap that has been set for them. At the moment when the smugglers want to free their friend and the police station officers are unaware, Samad, who is one of the students in the class, enters the fray and traps the fugitive and the group of smugglers, and delivers them to the police station.
Samad is to be sent to the city courthouse for his fights where he points his finger at others, and he happens to be handcuffed to a male smuggler. Along the way, the smuggler manages to escape with the help of one of his accomplices, and since his hand was tied to Samad's, they are forced to take Samad with them. After they untie the handcuffs, they decide to kill Samad, but the smuggler's accomplice, who was a girl and happened to be the daughter of the gang boss, does not allow them to kill Samad out of emotion. So they take him to a cinema and while Samad is immersed in a Bruce Lee karate movie, they leave him there and leave. Samad becomes fascinated with Bruce Lee and karate after watching the karate movie, and after returning to the village, he tries to teach the villagers karate by imitating Bruce Lee's martial arts moves.
Adapted from a story in 1001 Nights, the story concerns the death of an actor and the comical incidents that occur as different people come into possession of, and attempt to dispose of, his body.
During the Iran-Iraq War, Bashu, a young boy loses his house and all his family. Scared, he sneaks into a truck that is leaving the area. He gets off the truck in the Northern part of the country, where everything from landscape to language is different. He meets Naii, who is trying to raise her two young children on a farm, while her husband is away. Despite cultural differences, and the fact that they do not speak the same language, Bashu and Naii slowly form a strong bond.
