In the miserable Northeastern Brazil, a ruthless land Baron wants to throw a poor farming community out of their land.

In a company trading maté, workers are treated as slaves. Some of them try to escape, but those who are caught suffer severe punishments.

Lampião's gang raids a farm just as the wedding of Antônio Saraiva and the Baroness's goddaughter is being prepared. In the shootout, Lampião's brother, Ezequiel, is killed, and in revenge, Lampião burns the Baroness alive and orders the bride to be beaten. Upon arriving at the farm, Antônio discovers everything and vows to follow the gang's footsteps to hell. The cangaceiros continue their atrocities, robbing, killing, and looting, until a priest places a curse on Lampião. The curse transforms into the avenging figure of Antônio, who acquires supernatural powers. He meets Lampião during Maria Bonita's birthday party, and a life-or-death duel ensues.

When the mother threatens to leave, the father begs for her to stay and continue the hollow charade of their marriage for the sake of social appearances.

Zionists hire a hitman to kill a Nazi war criminal exiled in a Latin American country, where he's being protected by the local dictator. Get ready for gunshots; sex scenes; strange form of tortures; a cocaine-addict priest who helps the dictatorship; contemptous remarks and behavior from the main "hero"; amusing sequences of Chuchu having fun with beautiful women pretending to be James Bond; and the wimp colonel who is in love with a male prostitute. It's all good and fun to watch but remember that this is a product of its era, so it's quite possible to see some objectionable things. But for the most part it's never crass or insanely offensive.
