Regīna Razuma (born Regīna Vesere; September 22, 1951 – May 14, 2023) was a Latvian actress and ballerina. Razuma was born into a large family in Riga on 22 September 1951. In 1968, she graduated from the Riga Choreographic School. From 1968 to 1974, Razuma was a ballerina of the Daile State Song and Dance Ensemble. In 1971, she began acting in films. She retired as a ballerina in 1975. From 1975 to 1978 she studied at the People's Film Actor Studio at the Riga Film Studio. In 1982, she graduated from the acting department of the theater department of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music. From 1980 to 1992 she was an actress at the Dailes Theatre. From 1992 to 2023, she was an actress at the New Riga Theatre.

A nightmarish evening unfolds for neighbors David and Robert when they accidentally hit a woman on her bike and flee the scene. While David is increasingly plagued by feelings of guilt, Robert shows no remorse and becomes overbearing and possessive.

A young guy from impoverished family moves to the big city and by unlikely chance falls in love with a girl who has a wealthy father. When planning their wedding, he asks his father-in-law for a significant amount of money and decides to keep a part of it for himself. To have the wedding on the cheap, he hires inexperienced wedding organizers and asks them to make it look as posh as possible for the low cost. His plan ultimately backfires when the organizers overdo it.

Based on the popular novel of the same title by Vilis Lācis. Latvia, the 1930s. Roberts Līviņš, the son of a dockhand, becomes an architect by his own efforts, thanks to arduous work and talent. But in his relationship with Līvija, the daughter of the rich entrepreneur Ulpe, Roberts realizes that the high society might look down on his common origins as well as his sister Alise, a hairdresser, and her boyfriend Ēriks, an opportunist and former boxer.

Latvia in the 1920s. The enterprising Edgars Ceplis establishes a company to produce bricks from Latvian clay for export. Many are involved in his project, hoping for the huge profits the venture promises. Ceplis soon becomes infatuated with his office typist Austra Zīle and starts neglecting the business...

They reminisce about the films that made them famous throughout the USSR, but also stigmatized the Baltic countries as Nazi sympathizers in the eyes of many Russians - a misconception that is nowadays exploited by the Russian media, desperate to label the Baltic countries as a fascist haven.

And so, during his difficult wanderings, Michael falls into the hands of a lonely sailor, Doug, who, at the risk of losing his job, takes the dog with him.
