Sage Stewart is a young African American female who moves to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress. When she gets there she realizes that “adulting” is much harder than she expected. She finds herself in a distracting relationship and nearly gets evicted while she juggles her personal and professional life.

Kali, a successful young Black woman, focuses on herself after her ex Ashton ends their relationship. She finds new love with ambitious Jeremy, but wealthy Ashton returns to win her back, forcing her to choose between money and true love.

Burden tells the story of Bennett Lewis (Nic Few), a highly successful and highly educated family man who in spite of his success still has to deal with the perils of being a Black man in America.
