Iraniyan, a freedom fighter, who is convicted by the British, escapes to his village. When he learns that the people of his village are being oppressed by the landlords, he decides to save them.
Vinodh (Kunal) and Manoj (Karan) are best friends. Manoj gives Vinodh a manager job of his three-star hotel. They both are in love with Neetha (Monal), but Neetha is actually in love with Vinodh. This causes a strain in their friendship, and Manoj fires Vinodh from his manager job. The film ends with a message to the audience that 'love is divine (pleasing) but friendship is pristine (unspoilt)

Vasu is a tough street crook who lives at a movie theater. One day while transporting the reels of a new film, he clashes with a music student Mohana. Mohana is the daughter of the Police Commissioner, who Tulsidas an ex-gang leader released from jail has an old grudge against. He tells Vasu to kidnap Mohana for two days in order to ruin the family's honor. While being held captive by Vasu, Mohana falls in love with him after hearing him sing. Vasu rejects her love, but on learning of it, Tulsidas pays him to pretend to be in love with her. By the time Tulsidas learns that his enmity with the police commissioner is false and tells Vasu to stay away from Mohana it is too late, Vasu's love has become real.

On the run from the Police, he ends up assuming the guise of Hoshiyarpur's Puran Singh, who has been away from home for the last 18 years, and does succeed in fooling Puran's joint family. But his hopes for settling there appear to be in vain with the arrival of a CBI Team, led by Inspector Mahendra Kumar Rane - who is determined to expose and arrest Nandkumar at any and all costs.
