Astrid is in her late forties and has her life firmly under control. She has fallen in love with Paul, and their first weekend trip together takes them to Budapest for a few romantic days, just the two of them. But in the Hungarian capital things happen differently than they'd planned: They run into Julius, Astrid's first great love, whom she'd met at an artists' party in East Germany in 1986.
The film shows the Antivilla built by Arno Brandlhuber in Potsdam, Krampnitz, between 2010 and 2015. The building has the project number 0131 in the catalog of works by Brandlhuber +. The shooting of Antivilla took place on April 4, 2016 in preparation for the feature film Streetscapes [Dialogue].
Clara is studying for a Ph.D in philosophy in Berlin. In this middle-class male academic environment, she feels pushed to one side. She returns to her childhood village in former East Germany for her mother's birthday, and becomes aware that a distance has grown between her and her family.
Around the year 2000, I was looking for a house in the countryside around Berlin. After two years, I found a former farmhouse and started renovating it. In the centers of the surrounding villages, enamel signs from socialist times were attached to walls and pedestals: “Death March April 1945” - with a red concentration camp triangle, a simple map with the route and a slightly abstract row of shaven-headed prisoners. Sometimes flowers were planted in front of them.
Forensic biologist Inga Ehrenberg is so absorbed in her work at the Forensic Medicine Institute that she doesn't initially notice how lonely she is after her divorce a few years ago. It is only when her father claims that she has a half-sister and a falconer asks her to take care of a young falcon that she finds herself in a whirlwind of long-hidden, painful feelings. She begins to tame the falcon, convinced that the bird will never leave her.

René is to be transported in a prison bus to another town for a court hearing. "Raumfahrer" describes the curious procedure of the transfer of a prisoner – or ‘Verschubung’ as it is known in German – from the point of view of the prisoner. It’s a case of constant stop and start in front of closed doors and gates, as well as endless periods of waiting around. As the bus travels through town and country, the world moves past René’s narrow observation slit in cinemascope. Everything seems close enough to touch and yet so very far away.
Abandoned at birth in the Greek mountains on a stormy night, Jon is taken in and adopted, without having known his father or mother. As a young man, he meets Iro, a warden in the prison where he is incarcerated after a deadly tragic accident. She seems to seek out his presence, takes care of him, records music for him. Jon’s eyesight begins to fail... From then on, for every loss he suffers, he will gain something in return. Thus, in spite of going blind, he will live his life more fully than ever.
Michael Scholly is released 28 years after being sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. He had three years to prepare for this moment. But the world outside the prison walls has fundamentally changed in his absence and Scholly's ideas and expectations have little in common with reality. Questions arise: Can Scholly meet the demands placed on him? Is Scholly ready for freedom? His first year after discharge was supposed to provide answers - but the answer came sooner than expected.
