Arun finds himself caught up in a crime that he has no connection to whatsoever. Following his roommate's advice, he attempts to cover up the situation with cleverness. Will he be able to extricate himself from this predicament, or will he unwittingly reveal a much larger conspiracy than he ever anticipated?

Azhagiya Theeye movie revolves around Chandran (Prasanna) is approached by a girl Nandhini (Navya Nair) to break her proposed marriage with a software engineer Aravind (Prakash Raj) from USA. She is forced by her father who is a thug (Pyramid Natarajan) to marry this guy. Later Chandran hatches a plan by which he meets Aravind at a restaurant and tells him that Nandhini is madly in love with him.

After finishing a successful meeting with his movie producers in Bangalore, Nanda, a jingles composer catches the highway to Chennai. On his way his car breaks down and he hitchhikes with Arjun, a businessman's son on his way to the same destination. During their journey together they discuss their personal lives till Arjun proposes a deal; a deal that is marked with murder but promises to better their personal lives. However this deal does not work in Nanda's favor and he soon finds himself in deeper complications.

Sathyamoorthy, an orphan, vents his feelings in a poem but doesn’t submit it to a magazine. Surprisingly he reads a poem, penned by a girl, in a magazine that is quite similar to what he has written. He is amused and sets off to find the girl. He finds that she is a college student and living in Kutralam. He writes a letter and gets a reply. The friendship develops and it gradually evolves into love.

Tamizharasu, who aspires to become a police officer, discovers a terrorist's ploy to assassinate the governor. On learning that some policemen are involved, he takes matters into his own hands.

Senthil Kumar (Prasanna) and Malini (Sneha) are a happily married couple in New Jersey, living life like any other born-in-India, arrived-in-the-US couple do. He submerges himself in the office and eats sambhar rice at home and she never misses a bhajan at the temple and shops at Indian stores. They have a daughter Rithika (Akshaya Dinesh), 5 years old, the apple of their lives (their car's registration number carries the name of their daughter.) They have just settled down in a new, spacious home about which Malini, understandably, has fears. The couple squabble amicably about everything from her perpetual laundry and cooking; while Senthil argues with friends about the significance of viboothi (holy ash, usually applied on forehead) and takes his family on weekend trips and birthday parties. It is a normal, happy life in the US until Robertson (John Shea) arrives, to paint the basement. Now, things are never the same at home again.

Ravi is an electronics engineer who works in a bank and is in love with Nandhini. Fareed is a criminal who claims that he can prove that Ravi has killed a man and blackmails him into robbing the bank.
