A village is split into two because of rivalry between two families. Years later, a young man returns from America and tries to reconcile the differences between the two village heads who were, once upon a time, close friends.

Lalithamma, a pious and compassionate woman, opposes the atrocities of Rayudu, so he attempts to destroy Lalithamma's life.
