The film deals with the hardships of village life, telling of the cruelty of the village chief towards the villagers. Despite these hardships, it tells of the struggle of the young man nicknamed Yabancı (The Stranger).
Murat has to marry someone if he is to collect his inheritance. So his lawyer decides to marry him to an inmate on death row. Naciye, who is sentenced to death, accepts the marriage proposal. They perform the wedding ceremony at the prison. But things don’t go as planned.
Cingöz Recai, recently released from prison, plans a new robbery. Together with his men, he robs the house of merchant Selim Bey. Upon learning of the robbery, Commissioner Mehmet Rıza goes after Recai. During the robbery, Recai takes a liking to Selim Bey's stepdaughter, Selma. He notices there is a problem between Selma and her father. He follows Selma and sees that she is in trouble. While trying to protect Selma from the men chasing her, he learns a secret code that Selma knows. Recai, who is fleeing the police, will also try to decipher the code.
It tells the story of a young man who is driven to commit illegal acts to take revenge on the man who killed his father. Murat is a poor young man who works in a grocery store. His father was killed by a thug named Rüstem at Murat's circumcision ceremony. Although his mother wants him to take revenge, Murat refuses. One day, Murat is unable to pay the bill at a restaurant he visits with his girlfriend and is forced to steal, but he is caught. In prison, he encounters Rüstem, his father's killer. Despite trying to stay away from Rüstem, Rüstem and his men injure Murat's arm. After being released from prison, Murat gets a job at a factory. However, living a clean life is no longer possible for him.
Duran Aga kills Eskiya Halil's father and withholds Halil's fiancee and tries to take villagers's field forcible. Because of these Eskiya Halil escapes from prison to revenge.
