In post-war Lebanon, Ida, a young Lebanese girl, flees her small village and her alcoholic mother and goes to the big city. There, she starts dating a European man not knowing what is in store for her.

A wealthy woman will allow her grandson to inherit her money on one condition, which is to marry a girl who looks like one of her friends. He starts his search for the suitable girl, eventually meeting Sevannah, an Armenian, who seems to meet the criteria.

Two young girls of the war generation, Yasmin and Leila, are in search of Beirut. When they meet an elderly film enthusiast with a secret store of Lebanese films, they persuade him to screen his collection for them. So begins an initiation into the myths and images of Beirut, but the girls want cold figures and facts, war babies indifferent to the memories evoked.
