A few years after their separation Filippo, a failed musician, and Cecilia, a career woman, meet again to sign their divorce papers. Despite an initial apparent peacefulness, their words begin to reveal feelings, problems and conflicts that time had erased. Thus begins a verbal duel that will lead the two to understand if they still know each other or have become two complete strangers.
Damiano Michieletto presents his own dramatic adaptation of two famous one-act plays by Chekhov: “The Marriage Proposal” and “The Bear.”
Liv Ferracchiati has chosen Chekhov’s *Platonov* to explore the mechanism that links intuition, writing and life within an artist. “It is worth viewing Platonov with a degree of leniency,” she explains, “because in his outbursts, his miseries, his fears and his inconsolable sorrows, we recognise our own.”
