A love-struck American musician who repairs broken saxophones and clarinets for a living flies to the Czech Republic in pursuit of a wife to bring back home.

A black comedy set in Ústí nad Labem tells the story of the relationship between a Russian and an American lecturer at a local university. Both are forced to live together in a small room in a dormitory. Tension builds between them, fueled by their vastly different personalities and mutual antipathy. Disagreements arise from trivial arguments and disagreements, from adding ketchup to food to how to treat women. It's as if another Cold War has broken out on the battlefield of their cramped dorm room.

Even though the court handed down its verdicts, the case remained open in a way, and this is also reflected in the script, which remained faithful to the facts in its basic outline," says screenwriter Václav Šašek, author of the two-part television production The Trial of the Martyn Murderers...

He selected five of them for his new Czech comedy, whose common denominator is actor Jiří Krampol, the main character in each of them.

We also follow the fate of Drobný, a recently released prisoner who is convinced that he has a profound reason to hate the psychologist and take revenge on her. Gradually, he finds himself in the position of a cornered animal, which only intensifies his desire for harsh retribution. The first storyline of the film is purely detective-like, while Drobný's story is more in the style of a gritty crime thriller.
