In 2016, Andrea Michelini, a highly regarded artist, is preparing to make his theater debut in the final "twelve performances" of a successful show entitled Banana Blu: a Neapolitan version of Il vizietto, written by Michelini himself, now in its fifth season. Alongside Andrea, whom everyone calls "Gigi" in French, is his partner, Rolando Spinelli.

Achille Tarallo is an absent father and an unhappy husband. He drives buses in Naples for a living but his dream is to be a great crooner. In the meantime he sings at wedding parties with his best friend Café, waiting for their band manager Pennabic to make them famous. One day, Achille falls in love with the new caregiver of his mother, a kind woman from Eastern Europe very different from his nagging wife Elide.

Antonio is seventeen years old and has a dream: to be a footballer in a great team. He lives in a small village in the province of Campania, a place where getting away is not always that easy. All of a sudden life seems to present Antonio and Miriam with a real opportunity: a talent scout looking for promising youngsters to take to the Parma team’s Primavera. But there is a high price to pay for every dream.
