It is autumn in Santiago de Chile during 1976 under the military regime. Antonio is a veteran university professor with a quiet life, oblivious to everything going on around him. He doesn't read newspapers, doesn't listen to the radio, and doesn't own a television. His world is books, classical music and the plants in his garden.
