Hugo is a young man who has been left at the altar, in what was to be a three-day celebration arranged by his manipulative mother-in-law. In addition to keeping up with his overprotective father demands and crossing paths with an ex-girlfriend, he soon realizes that it is better to be alone.
Fed up with his economic situation and declining health, a small-time boxing agent ventures into an ambitious plan: to convince his Cuban girlfriend to leave the island and accompany him to live in Paraguay, where he plans to set up his boxing show.
