Takarazuka Cosmos Troupe 2014 revival of Takarazuka original musical The Rose of Versailles -Oscar-

A musical depicting legendary gifted ballet dancer Vaslav Nijinsky through half of his lifetime. Romola is his wife and the love of his life; Diaghilev, the leader of the Russian ballet company "Ballets Russes", is antagonistic toward him. Set in the beginning of the 20th century in Paris — the era known as les années folles ("the roaring twenties") — a dramatic portrayal of the glory and ruin brought about by one man's overabundance of beauty and talent.

The end of the 18th century. In California, in the "New World" of America, people suffer beneath Spanish despotism and hope their saviour will come. His face hidden by a black mask, his form disguised with a black cape, the legendary knight appears to punish evildoers as both Zorro and Lady Zorro. The deeds and loves of Zorro and Lady Zorro are portrayed in this swashbuckling play full of unrivaled delights.

Set in the turbulent 18th century Europe, where power and intrigue swirled around him, this musical depicts his love, friendship, and courageous battle for his beliefs on a grand scale, involving a variety of characters.

Austria, 1888. Crown Prince Rudolph is bored with the ostentatious royal life in the Austrian court. He is forced into a marriage contract with Stephanie, Princess of Belgium. The couple is incompatible and they live in unhappy discord. Grand Duke Jean Salvadore, Rudolph's cousin, is in touch with the liberals of the realm and his lover, Milly, is a commoner. The Grand Dude has broken the shackles of convention and he enjoys a life of freedom much to his cousin's envy.
