The story of a Ukrainian family living on the border of Russia and Ukraine during the start of the war. Irka refuses to leave her house even as the village gets captured by armed forces. Shortly after they find themselves at the center of an international air crash catastrophe on July 17, 2014.

Summer of 1945. A temporary orphanage is established in an abandoned palace surrounded by forests for the eight children liberated from the Gross-Rosen camp. Stripped of their magic and turned into ordinary mortals, the three must join forces to avert the Armageddon unleashed by Christmas’s disappearance, and to restore Vira’s faith in miracles and hope for a bright future.
