A comedy about a lost inheritance, love and a red umbrella, which, according to a local legend, belonged to St. Peter himself.

Following his wedding, Feri left the co-operative and is now working on the land of his father-in-law. Tóth is extremely wilful and thrifty, working from early morning to late night, pushing his family as well.

The grey hero of grey workdays, the divorced cashier of a cinema who is always willing to sacrifice herself for others, Etelka, is awarded a two-week-holiday at Lake Balaton. Following the advice of her female friend, she tries to live life at full speed.

In a chic hotel in the French mountains, a lonely woman is attracting a lot of attention. And yet Eva is married, and thinks back with sad nostalgia to the first happy years of her marriage. She would like Adam to be a loving, attentive husband again. One rueful evening she decided to take a month's 'holiday' and travel to the mountains of France. But away from her husband, she realises that true love and appreciation are not about compliments, flowers or a night of dancing...

Dr. Kálmán Bajor, a lawyer in his fifties, falls in love with his friend's secretary, twenty-year-old Turkish Vali. Valit seduces his young suitor and asks her to marry him. The lawyer's daughter Mimi does not look kindly on the marriage, but she cannot dissuade her father. So she solves the matter with a woman's logic. Apparently in love with her father's friend, she gets engaged to Uncle Árpád, also over fifty. But the game turns serious, and Uncle Árpád really falls in love with the pretty girl.

In 1910, István Primusz, a master carpenter, was living in a small street in Óbuda with his three beautiful daughters, known locally as the "three doves". Guszti Groll, the wealthy master builder's full-grown son, courts the eldest daughter, Manci, and arranges a six-room apartment for her. But Manci loves the young and penniless baron. The young man only begins to woo the girl at the behest of his wealthy employer to seduce her for him, but eventually falls in love with her himself. Guszti Groll then quickly moves on to the middle girl, Ica, but soon finds out that she is already engaged to the apothecary. Now only the youngest girl, Stefi, is free, but she happily agrees to move into the six-room apartment with Guszti.

A silent comedy from Hungary.

This easy-to-take Hungarian drama is also known as Two Wishes. The prinicipal characters are a pair of juvenile delinquents, who may still be redeemable. The sullen duo is befriended by a kindly police inspector, who takes it upon himself to straighten out the boys. What follows cannot be termed surprsingly or innovative, though it is immensely satisfying. Of interest is the fact that a Communist-bloc film would admit to a delinquency problem in the so-called Worker's Paradise. Ket Vallomas was the Hungarian entry in the 1957 Cannes Film Festival.

Varsa engineer receives the Kossuth award for his excellent work. His career once began at the family enterprise of his wife, so the woman invites her relatives for a dinner party.
