Nilu Phule (Nilkanth Krushnaji Phule) was an Indian actor known for his roles in Marathi movies and Marathi theatre. Nilu Phule acted in around 250 Marathi and Hindi movies during his film career. He was most prominently seen playing the roles of notorious villains in the movies. Phule was also a social worker, and was associated with Rashtra Seva Dal.[3]

Wealthy and influential Hindurao Dhonde Patil finds a homeless drunk, brings him home, looks after him, feeds him, finds a room for him, gets him employed, calls him Master, and even finds a woman to look after him. Raja Bhaiya (Mithun Chakraborty) and his friend Charan (Satish Kaushik) come to a city to make a living. Failed in their attempts to find a job, one day, they are teased and ragged by Kallu Dada (Ranjeet). The quarrel gets physical, which Raja wins. Raja thus becomes the local underworld don and starts collecting protection money from shopkeepers, while becoming addicted to alcohol. Raja's life takes twists and turns when Mohan Rao (Nilu Phule) passes away.
