In the course of a day in Istanbul, five individuals cross paths and change each others' lives in unexpected ways.

Nesrin has problems with government because of an organization she has involved with. She is searched by military. She escaped to her grandfather's house. They started to connect after all the years, they weren't together.

In a small village, young Mert is about to get traditionally circumcised, but the family does not have the money to follow up with the circumcision celebration. The family wants to be able to serve lamb meat to the guests at the celebration. Mert’s older sister scares him that if they cannot afford a lamb the father will slaughter him instead.

A Turkish small time black marketeer wants to enter the cell phone business. To get enough money, he promises the local doctor to get medicine for sick children.
