When Carmine “The Beans” Pasquale is nabbed by the FBI, he decides to testify against his mafia boss and go into the Witness Relocation Program with his wife Gina and son Vincent. Now known as George, Linda and Patrick Cheeseman, the Pasquale family is sent to suburban Utah to begin their new life. Dave Evans, Phoenix’s most famous conservative radio personality is a man very strong opinions. He´s got a privileged "perfect" little life. The girlfriend, the car, the job, the friends—until a fortuitous car accident flips his whole world upside down. Dave wakes up in the hospital with a rare form of amnesia. His ability to speak English is replaced by Spanish, a language he learned in his childhood and which he’s spent years trying to forget. Unable to change his fate, Dave´s career fizzles; his fiancé leaves him, his friends and family turn on him. With no medical cure in sight, Dave befriends the lovely Marielena, his resilient Mexican housekeeper, and the only one who now understands him.
