17-year-old Nayla in a hot summer day on the southern seaside of Lebanon is faced with the same dilemma as any other young person in Lebanon: to leave or to stay. Two men in her life who have set ideas about it might get surprised.

August 4, 2020, the port of Beirut explodes. Four years later, Lélia, 17, prepares to leave to study in the United States and has to leave everything behind, her girlfriend, her country, and her family. As an upcoming war looms over their every moment, we spend six days in Beirut with four women caught in the whirlwind of life, between joy and melancholy, traditions and the hope of renewal.

Damascus, Spring 2011. In Liban, Chadi, a thirteen-year-old boy, the top of his class, discovers that he can make money from his talent. But money is not really the target. Instead, he wants to attract the interest of pretty Raya, whom he dares not speak to.

From war-torn Syria to the 2016 Rio Olympics, two young sisters embark on a risky voyage, putting their hearts and their swimming skills to heroic use.
