Orpheus' song tames scales and dolphins, dictates laws to the wind and sets the rhythm of the oars that move the sea. Those who listen to it remain motionless in contemplation. Between bodies, the Patagonian landscape and the crossing of boundaries with the private record of a vacation, Narcisa Hirsch and Rafael Maino unfold among the melodies of a passage from Orphee et Eurydice. This film also bears the name "Rafael, 1976" and can be considered part of the series of the diaries with "Rafael, agosto 1984".

Half a ton of explosives demolishes in front of thirty thousand people the building complex that served as a shelter in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Paternal. On March 16, 1991 Narcisa Hirsch records it in a unique way: that giant becomes a cloud of dust that, as a natural phenomenon, covers the town with all its remains.

The reeds lean over the water. There is no nostalgia. A letter filmed for Rafael Maino in 1984 with stories of the filmmaker as a memoir of a paradise. A paradise formulated over seven years by the friendship between Rafael and Narcisa: "if there was a fight, it is something bigger than you and me, it is the fight between two myths". This film can be considered as part of the series of the diaries together with Orpheus and Eurydice.

"The secret of love well few know; they feel an eternal thirst and feel an unquenchable hunger" writes Novalis in his poem. In turn, Narcisa converses with Rafael Maino, protagonist of many films in the diary series, opening the way to images of places, objects and music that mark the life and work of the filmmaker.

"Academia del fracaso" is a speculative aesthetic fact of a polemic nature, as Marta Minujín explains when she talks about her work. Portrayed in this film explaining the functioning of her participatory performance in 1974, the artist extends herself to reflect and talk about some things, many things, that make up the world and its ideas.
