The members of a sci-fi club accidentally spill Coke on the remote controller of an air-conditioner during summer and suddenly a time machine appears in their sweating bath-like clubroom.

Kosuke is 31, and tired of his hometown where nothing happens. On a whim, he departs for New York with dreams of making it big. 6 months later, he straggles home... defeated, and saddled with debt. Awaiting him are his old friends, a caring sister, a disgruntled father ...and a bowl of noodles. Namely, "udon" noodles. The town is built around udon, sustained by udon, nationally famous for udon.

Two historical incidents that deepened the friendship between Japan and Turkey are connected in this story of friendship and compassion: In the night of 16 September 1890 the Turkish frigate Ertuğrul is caught up in a typhoon and sinks off the Japanese coast. Risking their own lives, local villagers are able to rescue 69 Turkish sailors. Although being very poor and having hardly to eat, the villagers share what little they have with strangers from a country 9,000 kilometers away. 95 years later, during the Iran-Iraq War, more than 300 Japanese are stranded in Tehran. In the morning of 19 March 1985 a Turkish Airlines aircraft takes off for Tehran to evacuate the Japanese. But the remaining Turks at Tehran Mehrabad Airport still need to be convinced that they won't be able to board their own country's rescue flight.

The one-hundred-year-old Fujiya inn stands in the quiet region of Kyoto. Mikoto is standing in front of the Kibune river at the back of the building when she is called back to work. But two minutes later, she finds herself back at the river again. The whole inn seems to be stuck in a time loop!

Kazuo Mido is a pastor at a small church. He lost his wife 8 years ago and raises his only daughter, a junior high school student, singlehandedly. When she is diagnosed with an illness, he undergoes a drastic change.

Midori Yamabuki (Natsuna Watanabe) wanted to become an idol group member, but she now she works as a bus guide in Kagawa Prefecture. She has a special treasure which her mother gave to her. The treasure is a mic which allows three wishes to come true. One day, Takuto Kurita (Masaya Kikawada) comes to Kagawa Prefecture to perform a concert. His late father was the CEO of a sound equipment company in Kagawa Prefecture. Midori Yamabuki meets her childhood friend Kazuyuki Ogawa (Yuta Hiraoka). He brings back memories which Midori Yamabuki wants to forget. The memory is of an audition she took in Tokyo as a child. Everybody at the audition laughed at her because she is tone deaf. Somehow, Midori Yamabuki falls in love with Takuto Kurita, but Takuto Kurita’s mother requires a condition to be met before they can become part of her family. This drives Midori Yamabuki into despair.

Having just finished building a time machine, an inventor tries to show it off to impress his childhood friend.
