A 17-year-old country boy named Norio decides his only option is to follow his late parents’ example and commit suicide. After failing even at that, his 34-year-old English teacher Akemi convinces him that he should instead move to Tokyo with her and become a lawyer on her dime. Unfortunately, Akemi doesn’t have quite as much money as she leads Norio to believe, and has to secretly get a job at a karaoke bar under the guise of “going to the salon”. Meanwhile, she continuously prods her somewhat dimwitted student to work harder toward her manufactured goal of him becoming a lawyer. Although Norio is falling in love with Akemi, he’s not all that interested in studying, and matters only get worse when he discovers his benefactor’s secret source of income.

When Honey's uncle gets kidnapped by the evil criminal gang known as "Panther Claw," she must use her magical powers of transformation to save him. Meanwhile the same crime group has been responsible for a number of other crime sprees across Tokyo. In the process, Honey teams up with the seemingly cold police woman Natsuko Aki and hot shot journalist Seiji Hayami as well as battle the four "claws" of the Panther Claw gang to save her uncle and the rest of the city.

High school student Ayumi kills herself and leaves behind a cryptic message that says "will be killed by boyfriend." Ayumi's classmates Satomi and Yuka investigate her suicide and quickly links her death to a popular cellphone dating simulation game called Keitai Kareshi. The main features of the game include a 'love gauge' that determines how well the player is faring and the ability to chat with other players. Satomi, Yuka download the game to their phones and begin interacting with their new virtual boyfriends. Soon after, Satomi shares the game with her co-worker who -- not long after the love gauge on her cellphone hit zero - dies from electrocution. Meanwhile, Yuka sends the game to her manager who turns up dead the following day following a mysterious accident. The mystery deepens as Satomi discovers the image of Naoto, a senior student whom Satomi secretly admired, on her friend Hisami's cellphone.

A timid girl high school student, Sonoko Ishii (Emi Suzuki), has two important friends at her high school. They are Sonoko's boyfriend Satonaka (Kei Tanaka) and her best friend Miyuki (Erika Okuda), a delinquent high school student. Sonoko is suffering from depression due to "bullying" by a girl in her class. Miyuki, on the other hand, is a "wrist-cut" addict due to a terrible experience she had in her childhood. Satonaka is a good guy who tries to support them both. Then one day, unexpectedly, Satonaka and Miyuki have a big accident.

Mika, who grew up in an orphanage, having been abandoned soon after birth, begins to look for her mother Naoko. Finding Naoko living happily with her husband and teenage daughter Ayano, she continues to watch from afar...

A high school girl becomes involved in a murder mystery that revolves around a dating simulation game that has currently become popular on mobile phones. A woman who seemingly exists only as a character within the game is somehow killing all the male players one by one.
