Unemployed Shakthi Singh lives a poor lifestyle along with his widowed and ailing mother and a sister. His mother falls ill and gets admitted in hospital. While on his way to an interview with HSBC, Shakthi sees a beautiful girl, gets distracted and misses his bus - route No.12B. As a result he misses the interview, and ends up getting employed as a Garage Mechanic with Madan, his friend. He does meet with the same girl, gets to know her name is Jyotika, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with her mother, Sulo, while her dad is away on business. Both continue meeting not aware that her marriage has been arranged with Pratap. This story also depicts the possibility of Shakthi catching the 12B on time, attending the interview and getting hired, pursuing Jyotika in vain, and ending up in the arms of his co-worker, Priya. Both possibilities end up with Shakthi getting involved in a vehicle accident - and no guarantees that he will survive or wed Jyotika.

Ravi finds out the truth that Usha is Jhilik the day Rudrasksh goes to marry her. Usha condemns Ravi for his cowardice and that makes him defy everything and marry her. Rudraksh and his family are arrested for claiming dowry."

Devi is gifted with Extra Sensory Perception (ESP). The story surrounds the lives of Dr. Rehman (Shashi Kapoor) who believes in saving the lives of the poor, instead of opening up a clinic in a big city and making money; Soni (Rekha), an innocent village girl, who was abducted by dacoits during her marriage with Dharma (Puneet Issar), and when the police rescue her and bring her back to her groom, he and his family reject her, making her seem like a fallen woman; Dr. Kumar (Ashok Kumar) who is the very opposite of Dr. Rehman; and Dr. Anand (Vinod Mehra), the son of Dr. Kumar. Dr. Anand practices under Dr. Rehman, who testified for him during a criminal trial for malpractice which resulted in the death of the husband of Rani Sahiba (Moon Moon Sen). Soni has fallen in love with Dr. Anand, but Dr. Anand has strong reservations against her, due to her background.

The film is a family drama of Arijit, his wife and son. A bolt from the blue brings troubles to the peaceful household. During a tour in an accident Arijit's wife dies. Arijit becomes a successful businessman but his villainous brother lands Arijit into a disastrous financial situation. Arunava loves a doctor Indrani. Suddenly it is revealed that Arijit's wife was not dead but had just lost her memory in the accident. She was in a ashram for several years. When she got her memory back she came to her house but here she saw Aparna. She was heart-broken and wanted to return to the ashram. Complications build up which are finally settled and the daughters-in-law return to their respective and rightful homes.
