DREAM "Fight for Japan" was an unnumbered event which took place on the 29th May 2011 to help raise funds for the disasters in Japan at the time. The fighters reportedly gave their fight purses to assist with aid for the country.It was the progression of the Bantamweight tournament which culminated at the next event which was Dream 17.

DREAM.16 took place on September 25, 2010, at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan, promoted by Fighting and Entertainment Group’s DREAM. The main event features Gegard Mousasi facing Tatsuya Mizuno in the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix final to crown the first DREAM Light Heavyweight Champion, with Mousasi coming off a submission win over Jake O’Brien and Mizuno advancing via TKO against Melvin Manhoef at DREAM.15.
