
Acting
Mina is a multidisciplinary artist and actress. Her artwork focuses on identity and transformation and extends to performance, cabaret, and video art. As an actress she debuted with Le Favolose, by Roberta Torre, premiered at Venice Film Festival 2022, it also opened Tokio Film Festival 22’ and IDFA 22’. After that Mina Landed the role of Cris Miro in her eponymous biopic Cris Miro (Ella) that premiered internationally in MAX and TNT in 2024. As an artist she has performed in spaces like Museo Nazionale Romano (Rome), Le Musée Des Archives (Paris), Galerie 3537 (Paris), La Ménagerie de Verre (Paris), Le Carreau du Temple (Paris) or The National Classic Theatre (Madrid); and collaborated with artists like Alessio de Navasques, Steven Cohen, Sylvio Giardina, Itziar Barrio, Arca, Carlota Guerrero, Ali Mahdavi and Vincent Macaigne between others.

It often happens that at the moment of death, transgender individuals are shorn of their identity. Their families are ashamed, the funeral takes place in secret, and on the tomb appears the name the deceased had before their transition, in one stroke nullifying the entire life path they had chosen. The same thing happened to Antonia. Her girlfriends gather to honor her memory and give her back her identity denied. In telling her story, the film’s stars, all drawn from the variegated transgender world, interweave the narrative with tales of their own lives, experiences, and memories.

Mina is in Cannes to perform three nights during the Festival. She hangs out in cozy clubs and hotel rooms, moving from the arms of lovers to those of friends. There is Mina the performer, but also Mina the Italian singer of the 1970s, whom Mina summons to the stage every night.
