After a horrible day, where a man is victimized by circumstance, bullies and bad drivers, our hero takes up arms against them. Using only a phone, a Polaroid camera and his wits, he reclaims control over his life, transforming himself from pawn to puppet master in a wicked tale of revenge.
The year 2037. Rugged soldier Max and weary sculptress Nicky try to sustain a relationship in a bleak totalitarian future plagued by war, nuclear fall-out, and overpopulation. Flashbacks show Max and Nicky's doomed romance throughout the years as things get worse and the world deteriorates all around them.
When disc jockey Grant Mazzy reports to his basement radio station in the Canadian town of Pontypool, he thinks it's just another day at work. But when he hears reports of a virus that turns people into zombies, Mazzy barricades himself in the radio booth and tries to figure out a way to warn his listeners about the virus and its unlikely mode of transmission.
