When Rin wakes up at the hospital, he sees himself laying in the hospital bed unconscious. He realizes that he is in Takehito's body. To Let Mami know that he is in Takehito's body and to send her his love, he begins to write a song with the members of "Even."

Feeling alone and devastated by a sense of loss, Maya discovers the sport of "street kendama" and decides to compete in the world championship, "CATCH & FLOW." Meanwhile, Michiru also discovers kendama during her rehabilitation, and aims to become the world's best street kendama player, using her wheelchair to maneuver. On the day of the finals, with their mothers and friends watching, the former best friends Maya and Michiru face off against a variety of unique rivals and compete in a skill contest.
In an attempt to spur citizens into taking more productive roles in society, the Japanese government issues death messages, or "ikigami", informing them that they have only 24 hours left to live. The film follows a young man tasked with delivering these messages, as well as the victims.
