A father and son become trapped in their grief when a family member dies. Over the years their relationship grows strained and cold until an old friend's return forces them to see the potential for a new beginning.

Thousands of aspiring child actors flock to Tinseltown for pilot season, the traditional casting period for new network and cable television shows.
