Turkish adaptation of Graham Greene's "A Gun For Sale" (This Gun for Hire).
Watchmen of the Dawn is about the lives of pilots in the Turkish air force based in the mid-Anatolian town Eskisehir. Göksel is a young pilot with Faruk as his best friend and Aydan, a female lieutenant in the air base, as his platonic love interest. After his plane crashes, Göksel takes a 15-day leave of absence and visits his parents in Istanbul.
The feud between the Akçiftlik and Karaçiftlik families ends with Metin and Ayşegül's love. The bride in the film, Ayşegül, is not very stubborn. Ayşegül's brother, Huysuz Ali, may detract from the comedy in some scenes, but after getting beaten up in a fight, he allows Metin and Ayşegül to marry.

Zehra Ana, who is in her seventies, is an elderly woman who has spent most of her life in a village. When her entire family moves to the city, she is forced to leave her village as well. Zehra Ana lives with her eldest son Kerim, following family traditions. Unable to adjust to city life, Zehra Ana is later diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The illness deeply affects both Zehra Ana and her son Kerim. Despite having five siblings, Kerim takes sole responsibility for his mother's care and does everything he can for her.
The film is about Kemal and his girlfriend Meral breaking up because of a crime Kemal committed. Kemal comes to Istanbul to shop for his sister Mine's wedding. There, he meets Meral. Kemal and Meral fall in love at first sight. Everything is going well when Kemal receives a telegram from his mother. He learns that his sister has been raped and has committed suicide. He flees to Trabzon to take revenge on those responsible for his sister's suicide. His goal is to leave the country from there. During this time, Kemal's path will cross with Meral's once again.
