He starred in Akrebin Yolculuğu, which was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival. He is of Circassian descent. A man living a secluded life in a coastal town is greeted with an unexpected surprise one morning. The surprise waiting for him at the door is his wife, whom he abandoned years ago. The man is an alcoholic, and despite all her efforts, his wife has been unable to help him overcome his addiction. After failing to resolve this issue, the man left his wife six years ago and moved to the coastal town where he now lives. Years later, life has brought their paths together once again.
