Masha Mashkova was born on April 19, 1985 in Novosibirsk, Novosibirskaya oblast, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. She is an actress and producer, known for Mafia: Game of Survival (2016), Masha from Russia (2018) and Goryachie novosti (2009). She has been married to Sacha Seberg since May 11, 2012. They have two children. She was previously married to Artyom Semakin.

A gang of crooks robbing cash collectors, run into a police surveillance team and the inadequate police response results in a gunfight. A TV crew on assignment in the area happens to capture this humiliation on camera, and this example of police incompetence is soon the lead story in every news bulletin. Public confidence in law and order now suffers irreparable harm. The head of the Moscow force welcomes a public search-and-destroy operation against these thugs, the brainchild of Katya, his PR director. She proposes that the capture of this dangerous gang be transformed into a live TV show of a kind never seen before. At this point she cannot know that the gang leader's life-and-death struggle with the police is destined to lead to a media duel. Besieged in a huge apartment block, the crooks hold hostage a father and his son and daughter. A massive special forces rescue operation is mounted but fails miserably.

Vlad, a Russian businessman, who is going to participate in the elections for deputies, has got some problems with the articulation and he hires a speech therapist, Dasha - the poor girl of 25 years old who has moved to Moscow from a small town and now is searching for women's happiness in the capital of Russia. Dasha falls in love with Vlad almost at first sight finding him to be so polite, generous and educated and now she is making plans to win his heart, but the things are changed when Dasha finds out that Vlad is married for 15 years to a beautiful woman.

Based on A. Galych's play "Matrosskaya Tishina", "Papa" tells a story of a Jewish father who dreamed of seeing his son perform on a stage in front of huge audiences, he dreamed of seeing him as the greatest violinist of his time. To achieve the goal he taught his son Dodik how to play the violin from the yearly age. When Dodik grew up he left the small town he and his father lived in to study in the Moscow Conservatory leaving his past behind. But one day he has to choose either to loose his father or everything he has achieved.
