While vacationing, Koenma is kidnapped by a pair of demons known as Koashura and Garuga, who demand the possession of Lord Enma's coveted "Golden Seal." Botan finds Yusuke Urameshi and Kazuma Kuwabara on their summer vacation as well, and asks for their assistance in Koenma's rescue.

Searching for a Claire Bible manuscript, Lina and the others find an ancient book describing a musical spell. The spell requires participants to dress up in costumes and chant together. Lina thinks the song being is a holy spell of magical protection but it turns out to be a lost festival song to summon holy light and flower petals. When she discovered this discrepancy, she blows up everyone with a hastily cast Dragon Slave.

The Straw Hats embark on a dangerous trip to the sky where their destination comes straight out of a fairytale. The island of Skypiea and its grand city of gold await among the clouds, but a clash of winged clans and a man who calls himself God won’t make things easy! Lina and Gourry visited the town in a certain beach. In that town, a mysterious incident which is that the person who had eaten the octopus was not able to speak the languages other than the octopus language happened frequently. And, Gourry who does not know the incident eats slices of raw octopus, and he cannot speak words other than the octopus language. Ameria and Zelgadiss who came there by chance are involved in the trouble, too and the fight with the clan of the octopus which lives in the beach starts.

The film contains nine skits made for the Toei Anime Fair. The Tamagotchi in this film don't speak but rather communicate via sounds similar to that of Pokémon Speak. This is unique because all the other anime adaptations of the franchise have the Tamagotchi speak Japanese.

The second Hunter x Hunter musical. The story takes place after the Hunter Exam when Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio set off to Kukuroo Mountain to retrieve Killua from his family of assassins.

One year has passed since Nao and Uehara accidentally moved into the same apartment. Since then, they have become an official couple.
