Michal Szczesniak's staging combines the aesthetics of a psychological film and a comedy series. Moving the action of the drama to contemporary reality allows us to see a sad portrait of today's thirty- and forty-year-olds. She - an actress of the capital's theater and He - an acclaimed writer, decide to leave Poland. They emigrate to New York. Little did they think that, escaping the loans they took out in the belief of an eternal boom, they would end up locked in a small apartment in a neighborhood of dealers, prostitutes, thieves and artists. They slowly become slaves to the lies about their supposed success that they themselves spread online. Insomnia and anxiety make them paranoid.

Giordano, an angel assigned to an orphan in Krakow, is two years into the job when his celestial overseers, citing budget cuts, initiate "Phase Two" without telling him. Some changes are good - they send him a nanny, the enterprising Irena; some are bad - his phone number to Heaven no longer works nor do his special powers; and some dismay him - he grows a penis. His closest friend tells him to get a woman, and Irena advises him on hygiene. He visits a therapist, Roma, and falls in love with her. She tells him its transference. Meanwhile, Giordano's celestial friends conspire to rid Roma of her boyfriend, clearing the way for Giordano to be his naive and engaging self.

Inspired by a political protest movement, the Teatr 21 – a theatre company of acting enthusiasts with Down’s syndrome – develops a play in which the participants articulate their wishes and demands and at the same time get to abandon themselves with great joy to creative development. Martyna Peszko attentively follows the creation process as it unfolds in a productively bustling rehearsal atmosphere, with musical accents provided by the improvisations of a free jazz trio.
