Six immigrant friends constellate in Los Angeles while reflecting on intuition, perception, and the mythologies of a city. Blending documentary footage, voiced recollections, and diaristic entries, the film gathers fragments of lived experience and speculation into a collective imaginary of Los Angeles.
Six roommates share a cramped four bedroom apartment. One moves out. Another moves in. In the process, the precarious balance of their routines is comically disrupted.
Every year, a family home is turned into a haunted house. The purpose is not only to be as terrifying as possible, but also to create a spectacular attraction to draw the neighbors in. The situation grows increasingly complicated, broken and distressed as the family’s problems intercede in their plans and as their real lives become the film’s true and overriding scary haunt.
On an interstellar journey, a group of scientists studies the last living vestiges of Earth. The artificial intelligence, Museo, becomes a portal to the crew’s diaries and a fragmented archive of humanity. On Earth, the one believed to be the last of the humans traverses a ruined planet that is slowly recovering, little by little, from the apocalypse it endured.
