A young child in 1969 embarks on a quest to beat the Russians to the moon by building a homemade space ship with some help from his hometown friends. Through their journey they discover the ultimate power of hope and imagination.

Hancock is a down-and-out superhero who's forced to employ a PR expert to help repair his image when the public grows weary of all the damage he's inflicted during his lifesaving heroics.
