The daily routine of a women's Republic in the late days of 1963 and early 1964 - before the military coup - is presented from the perspective of several characters, and the place's owner who is about to sell the house to an international company who wants to build a mall in the place.

Born a fully grown black man in a village in the Brazilian jungle, Macunaíma later magically transforms into a white man before making an adventure-filled trip to the city of São Paulo. Once there, he becomes something of a dandy, falling in love with Ci, a revolutionary who dies in an accidental bombing. After robbing a ruthless industrialist, Macunaima returns to his village where he finds his newly acquired knowledge and possessions of little use.

Documentary on Rosamaria Murtinho and Mauro Mendonça’s 60-year long career in Brazilian theater, film and television. The film not only runs through the career of these artists, but also paints a portrait of a generation that rose alongside them and that works with art till this day.
