In May 2013, Spain faced its worst economic crisis in 70 years, leaving citizens in despair. However, over four thousand miners went on an indefinite strike against government cuts, engaging in daily protests, roadblocks, rallies, and a march to Madrid. Despite their efforts, the situation had changed significantly from the past.

Short film by Marcos Martínez Merino for the "NIMBOS Project", a series of films inspired by the poems in the book "Nimbos" by Xosé María Díaz Castro, author honored on Galician Literature Day 2014.

An intimate portrait of a city that no longer exists and another still under construction. Through celebrations, protests, everyday gestures, and images from the past, the film traces Gijón's transformation: from an industrial city to a tourist destination, from a battleground to a stage for spectacle. Faced with this transformation, the filmmaker returns to the plaza of his childhood and questions collective memory: who constructs it? What is forgotten? What remains outside the frame?
