A young man, son and grandson of soldiers, refuses to perform military service, causing a commotion in the whole family. Finally, social, environmental and family pressures, will force the young to make a decision that will have unforeseeable consequences.

Many immigrants, when they arrived in Spain, thought they had found paradise, soon thwarted all their dreams of prosperity. Many of them then decided to return to their land, but not so simple. In a pension match various immigrants end up discovering that deportation is the only way to return to his country.

Spain 2012. As many other people of their generation, Ana and Iván are going to buy a new flat in the suburbs of the city, which is still under construction. They go there with Ana’s parents in order to know their opinion before buying it. Despite of all the dreams set on this new stage of their lives, Ana doubts if this is really the life she wants. They feel free and swear that they will always be together. But three years later, everything is quite different. A party at the high school unites them all again. They haven't seen each other for years and the tension is thick. Something unexpected changed the course of their lives. Valle is a dancer at a club and attracted to Ray, the owner, who is also an art dealer under pressure to use his nightspot to peddle drugs.

Finished the Spanish Civil War in April 1939, in November 1940, while Spain is being crushed by the ruthless boot of dictator Franco, Pepita travels from rural Córdoba to Madrid to be near her sister Hortensia, who is seven months pregnant and imprisoned, haunted by the shadow of a death sentence.
