Fuat, a young man, loses his family in a fire that breaks out in their home in Istanbul when he is only 10 years old. Left orphaned at a very young age, Fuat survives with the help of his neighbors. Ali, a man of Arab descent, and Mehmet, a man of Kurdish descent, take Fuat in as their own brother and care for him. The only thing left of Fuat's family is a trunk. Fuat learns from a letter found inside the trunk, which was saved from the fire, that he has relatives living in Skopje. The young boy, who wants to find his relatives, asks Ali, whom he regards as his older brother, for help. Ali, who finds it dangerous to go to Skopje in the midst of the war, devises a different plan to avoid upsetting Fuat and reunite him with his relatives. However, things do not go smoothly for Ali and Fuat as they embark on a dangerous journey toward Skopje.

In the middle of the night, a luxury jeep cruising the streets hits a poor villager on a moped. As the people in the jeep get out to see who they hit, the camera focuses on Reşo's life in the village. From that moment on, we begin to follow the life of Reşo, who lives in a rural area in the east. Following Reşo's story, the story of Yusuf, the editor-in-chief of a newspaper, and the shady dealings taking place at the newspaper are brought into focus. The story continues as the characters move toward the point where their paths collide.


Car mechanic Şemsi separated from his wife years ago and lives alone, far away from his only child. Celal is a disciplined retired colonel married to Zarife. İsmet is an introverted film buff who has spent his life on the island, while Galip is a faithful platonic lover who has lived a strange "love" with Rosa, a Cuban woman he saw only once, and has never betrayed this woman with whom he has been corresponding for years. Unable to afford to go to Cuba or bring Rosa there, Galip falls ill and learns he has cancer. His friends do everything they can to make him happy before he dies, even putting their homes up for sale. But when the money still isn't enough, there's only one thing left to do: To obtain the money needed to send Galip to Cuba, they decide to rob five charming elderly bankers!

Ali works at the beach and waits every summer for the girl he loves to come on vacation. Umut goes fishing with his father and is madly in love with Zehra, who makes baskets on the island, but he can't bring himself to tell her brother about his feelings. Ömer works in the vineyard with his father. Additionally, he is developing formulas to produce his own wine in a small section of the vineyard allocated to him. The only hope of these three friends is to establish a winery together. All their efforts are aimed at raising the necessary funds. However, their lives are turned upside down by news from Vasilis. Now, it is time for everyone to confront their true feelings.

A suicide case is informed to the police from a mental hospital in a rocky district. Two policemen comes to hospital to investigate the case. In the same morning, Dr. Deniz comes to hospital as the new psychiatrist. Because of the heavy rain and landslide the only road and telephone connections that provide access to hospital from the city are damaged.There is no transportation to hospital and none can leave hospital. During three days, three patients are killed wildly in the hospital. Everyone becomes anxious. The police deepen the investigation. A mystical patient attracts attention.

When their father is killed in a blood feud, Yusuf and Kenan, two shepherd boys, flee to Istanbul in search of their uncle. They become involved with the streetboys, and Yusuf turns to crime although Kenan wants to learn a trade.

Imprisoned for communist propaganda, Nazım became legendary within the prison walls as his fame grew by word of mouth. A group of friends formed around him, inspired by his poetry and painting. However, the only thing on Nazım Hikmet's mind was his wife, Piraye. He was very curious about his wife, from whom he had not heard for a long time. As the misery of the war years made itself felt, the devastating news for Nazım was not long in coming. His 28-year prison sentence was confirmed.

Kadife, a beautiful but troubled village girl, finds a young man lying unconscious by the river one day. When the young man regains consciousness, it becomes clear that he has lost his memory...
