The film revolves around the development of the women's movement. Actors come together on stage and debate topics such as feminism, sexuality, gender performances, power structures, and activism, commenting on their own words. The film also provides insights behind the scenes and creates a fluid transition between the past and the present.

Lenora and Arlan have a stable, long-term relationship when they make a considered decision to open it up to additional partners. Their intention is to engage in casual sexual experiences, but when they meet the mysterious and beautiful Nina, they decide to see her again. Over the following months their connection grow deeper, but over time Lenora and Arlan are stressed by the love triangle, culminating with Nina's disclosure of a secret. The Deep Sky is a poetic film that employs experimental flourishes and magical realist notes to create a visceral experience. Focused on its characters as richly developed individuals the story navigates the emotional and philosophical complexities of the world the three lovers have created.

Flo is not quite a normal teenager: While all his friends only think about sex he can't even pronounce the word "S - E - X". But everything changes completely when one morning Flo wakes up from a strange call. His penis, excited for the first time, begins to talk to him. He claims that Flo severely neglected him for 15 years and it's time to release him.

1986 - The protest movement against the construction of the nuclear power plant in Brokdorf is on its last legs. Only one rural commune remains: the "Alternative Wohnkollektiv Regenbogen". For them, it could go on and on with endless consensus discussions, shearing sheep and naked communal bathing. One day, the lowland communards are joined by two city dwellers, Hanne and her son Niels. While Hanne gets used to scream therapy and raising vegetables surprisingly quickly - and even more quickly to the tantra games with commune guru Peter - Niels has less and less desire for the dogmatic commune rules. Out of defiance, he joins the violent nuclear power plant resistance, thus upsetting the tranquil chaos of the commune. The big bang, however, comes when a reactor explodes in distant Chernobyl. Exactly on the day Bobby Ewing dies, the petroleum prince from "Dallas" and series favorite of the commune.
In order not to end up as a lock keeper in the country like his father, 18-year-old Abel wants to go to the USA to become a stuntman. Girlfriend Merle is supposed to come along, but then finds out that she is pregnant.

The overworked and exhausted architect Leon longs for a shoulder to lean on. His confident girlfriend Jenni, however, is angry he's always working and doesn't have time for their relationship. Unexpectedly, Leon's 3D-architecture program produces a digital copy of Jenni. And the digital Jenni helps him get better without asking for anything... Stuck between his strong girlfriend and her always-friendly copy, Leon is looking for a possible relationship.

Due to alleged West contacts Bettina is arrested in 1984. Jan is a Stasi officer and expert in interrogation. For half a year, the officer and the dissident sit face to face almost daily, and the unbelievable happens: they fall in love with each other. In a few words and gestures and by means of a numerical code, they communicate. '11 means 'you are beautiful', '12 means 'I love you'. Jan and Bettina are always at risk of their love being discovered.

Matthias, son of popular rural Lutheran pastor Oskar Brendel and his wife Karin, about to graduate without honors unlike his emigrated big brother, is a pubertal rebel and hopelessly in love with local Maren Grothe. After he picks a fight at the village fair with her flirt and storms off, Maren s found comatose under the watchtower. Missing, Matthias is the only suspect, making the clerical family generally mistrusted. Karin finds her son, whose innocence she believes, apprenticing carpentry on the island where his buddy loves with his father Volkmann. Matthias explains he ran having seen his father Oskar refused ending an affair with Maren, who jumped as suicide attempt. The Brendels consider the due consequences.

28-year-old medicine student Malina wakes up disoriented in a locked trunk and realizes, to her horror, that she is missing more than just her memory of what happened. With her phone as the only link to the outside world, the intelligent young woman wages a desperate fight for survival while the vehicle races relentlessly toward a terrible secret.
