In 19th century France, Jean Valjean, a man imprisoned for stealing bread, must flee a relentless policeman named Javert. The pursuit consumes both men's lives, and soon Valjean finds himself in the midst of the student revolutions in France.

In his search, he gets caught up in an underworld web and finds the body of a murdered gangster in his room. He finally locates the cupboard but promptly loses it again. But, wait, it isn't "finis' time, yet.

Sherlock Coco, famous detective, tries to thwart the machiavellian plans of the trio of shock. Croquignol, Ribouldingue and Filochard must be extra vigilant, but the profit motive is too strong.
