Biography
Ülle Toming (born on February 16, 1955 in Tallinn) is an Estonian dancer, actress, singer and dance pedagogue. In 1973 she graduated from Tallinn Choreographic School. In 1983 she graduated from Tallinn Pedagogical Institute with a degree in cultural education and in 1999 received her master's in cultural history in 1999. Toming has worked as a lecturer at Tallinn University since 1983, and was a dance teacher at the Tallinn Ballet School from 1989 until 1999. 1973–1992 she worked at bar-varieties Tallinn and Viru Folk-show. She has also played in several films. Toming was married to actor Jüri Krjukov from 1990 until his death in 1997.

Georgica
The action takes place in post-World War II Estonia. An old man lives alone on a deserted island which the Soviet fighter planes use for nighttime target practicing. A young neglected boy, who has become mute, is banished from the mainland and sent to the island to keep the old man company. Both are haunted by memories, the boy about his mother and the old man about the years before World War I he spent as a young missionary in Africa

December Heat
The young country of Estonia is dancing to the jazzy tune of the 1920's when on December 1, 1924, the capital Tallinn is overrun by members of the Comintern in an attempt to stage a Communist coup. The film follows the fates of a young soldier called Tanel and his wife, a telephone operator named Anna, amidst the ensuing chaos which determines whether the country remains independent or becomes a minor province in the Communist Empire.
Manslayer/Virgin/Shadow
The film consists of three chapters. The Manslayer takes place more than a hundred years ago. The leading character Maara is a young bride who is about to start her life in her new family. The Virgin, set in the spring of 1949, tells the story of a young woman called Elina, who has been deported from Ingria into Estonia during the previous war. The Shadow moves in the present, on the border of real life and fantasy. The main character, Luna Lee, has decided to flee from home. Is there anything besides emptiness somewhere? The film is led by the singularity of the leading character - Maara, Elina and Luna Lee are all played by the same actress.
Family Photos
The graduates of a small town are on tenterhooks - the finals will be soon over and the young people will start lives of their own. They don't know what to expect - the school has taught them one thing, their parents something else, and the town shows them something completely else. There is something complicated between Kalle and Inna and eventually their relationship will end up in a mess. The relationship between Siim and Evi seems to be fine but even they will face misunderstandings. During the last weeks at school the love, faith and expectations of the graduates are put to the test.
