After returning from several months abroad, Daniel becomes concerned for his elderly neighbour and family friend, Nelly, after she reveals to him her recent dementia diagnosis. To make matters worse, the valuable tea set Nelly inherited from Rodney, her neighbour of 40 years, has been found out by Ada, Rodney's estranged niece, and Dev, Ada's husband. The pair feels they are the rightful heirs. Panicked, Daniel prepares Nelly to deny any knowledge of the priceless crockery before Ada and Dev are scheduled to arrive that afternoon.
