She died 41 years ago, but even today, Lea Goldberg is still an enigmatic figure - she is Israel's most beloved poet, a powerful woman, who lived with her mother and never married, a woman who invented herself from the ashes of WWW1 though her magical poetry. The film is a cinematic fantasy in five acts, using animation, after affects, archives, still photos, original music and interviews that celebrate together the fascinating story of L. Goldberg.
"Shlomo Artzi Sings and Tells Children About Jan Hagamd" is based on an album by the singer-songwriter, composer and musician Shlomo Artzi. The band that accompanies the film is the band Mrs. Tapuh. Among the writers of the songs and stories are Artzi and well-known poets such as Leah Goldberg, Yair Shargai, Dalia Rabikowitz, Michal Sanonit and Yitzhak Katznelson.
"Kemo gedolim" is a collection of well known Israeli, children songs sang by Ariḳ Ainshṭain and others. In between the songs embedded short skits starring Moni Moshonov and Tsevi Shisel , who embody two porters hauling a giant crate up a winding staircase and unexpectedly run into Ariḳ, a group of kids, jugglers, clowns and storytellers emerging from the crate. The two, try to do their job faithfully but occasionally they also try to sing, dance and play, which creates a variety of funny moments.
