Andrew is a tough businessman and an arrogant workaholic. He runs a large, successful company in Prague. The meaning of his life is money. Ondřej has just negotiated the deal of a lifetime in Nebraska with a wealthy investor who will finance the construction of luxury residences on the outskirts of Prague. On his way back from America, the plane flies over a reservation where an Indian chief is being buried. The spirit of the Indian rising to the sky crashes into the plane and inadvertently becomes incarnate in Ondrej. And this spirit has decidedly different ideas about Andrew's life and values.
This almost detective-like fairy tale tells the story of an overly anxious nanny who, fearing the wrath of the lady of the castle, searches so relentlessly for a missing trinket that she finds herself in real danger. Armed with advice from the sorceress Faustina, she plucks up her courage and sets off in search of the lost golden toy. This leads her to the lair of the terrifying Grey Mžour. The grumpy Mžour loves gold so much that he is willing to do anything for its glitter. But we wouldn't be in a fairy tale if there weren't a brave savior...

Based on an autobiographical novella by Ivan Olbracht, the film tells the story of Hanele Safarová, who grows up just after the First World War in a little Ruthenian schtetl which, in true Hassidic fashion, awaits the arrival of the Messiah. But Hanele decides to follow the Zionists instead. She moves to the city to prepare for her departure to the Promised Land, where she meets a successful businessman named Ivo Karadzic, who has renounced Judaism to become a free-thinker. Their love for each other doesn’t only drive Hanele’s parents to distraction, it also threatens to destroy the entire community in the schetl.

It explores the creation and dramatic industrial development of substances from Czech chemical laboratories that today treat AIDS in more than sixty percent of patients worldwide. Otto Wichterle had his famous story about how he built a device for centrifuging the first contact lenses using a Merkur construction kit. Petr Zelenka's play looks for such a "Merkur" in the life of chemist Antonín Holý.
The story of František, a selfish yet loving man who made his living as a musician on ocean cruise ships. He gradually became estranged from his family and ended up alone. On the advice of friends, he sets out to find his daughter in the village of Svatá Helena, a thousand kilometers away in the Romanian Banat region. Meeting people who live in harmony with God and nature and searching for his daughter, who has not been in touch, eventually reconciles František with the idea that he fears so much with advancing age: that he will live out his life in exile and solitude. However, things take an unexpected turn...

Young Princess Astrid falls in love with glove maker Jeník. However, there is a law in the royal land that prohibits the craft of glove-making, and all glove-makers have been banished from the country. This happened because a scroll was found in the cradle of the newborn princess, predicting that on her seventeenth birthday, she would marry a glove-maker. This was against the wishes of her royal parents, who wanted a noble groom for their daughter. Their plans are thwarted by the witch Gudrun, who uses her magic to help the young couple find happiness.

Teenagers experience their first romantic love; young artists try to cope with the success and fame that has invaded their privacy; a self-destructive bohemian encounters a pure, religious being; an unfaithful husband must make a fateful decision; a lazy cynic unexpectedly falls in love; self-centered seniors with unsuccessful pasts try together to build a better future, and love disrupts even the world of paid private prostitution.
